In short
ClanPick scores agencies on four things we can check: proof of results, specialism, pricing transparency and fit for a type of company. Every claim links to its source, and every pick has a "best for" and a "skip if".
We rank agencies on proof we can check. This page explains the criteria, the evidence we use, who checks each list and the rules that keep our rankings independent.
Scoring criteria
- Proof of results. Public case studies with named clients or verifiable outcomes, and independent client reviews.
- Specialism. Depth in the service and the audience the list covers, for example SEO for B2B SaaS.
- Pricing transparency. Whether the agency publishes pricing, minimums or fee models. We say “not public” when it does not.
- Fit by company type. How well the agency matches the budget, size and sales model of the buyer the list is for.
- Program status where it matters. Official tiers such as HubSpot Solutions Partner or Google Partner, checked in the program directory.
Each list states the criteria it weighted most, because a list for startups and a list for enterprise buyers should not reward the same things.
Evidence we use
- The agency website, case studies and published pricing pages.
- Independent review platforms and client testimonials we can trace.
- Official partner and certification directories.
- Public portfolios, awards and media coverage.
- Facts an agency sends us, after we confirm them against a public source.
We do not invent numbers. If a price or a result has no source, it does not appear on ClanPick. Where we show a price, we show the date we last checked it.
What every pick includes
- Who the agency is best for, and when to skip it.
- The proof we checked, linked.
- Pricing, or “not public” when the agency does not publish it.
- The date the page was last updated.
Who checks our picks
Each list is researched by the ClanPick editorial desk that covers the service, for example the SEO & Content Desk or the Paid & Performance Desk. The ClanPick Editorial Team then checks every score, source and verdict before the page goes live. We publish under desk bylines rather than individual names.
Update schedule
We review every best list at least every six months, and sooner when an agency changes pricing, services or ownership. Each page shows the date it was last updated.
Editorial independence
Picked on fit, proof and pricing. Rankings are based only on the evidence described on this page. Agencies cannot choose their position in a ranked list, change a score or verdict, or edit what we write.
Corrections
If you find an error, email editorial@clanpick.com. We fix confirmed errors and note material changes on the page. Our corrections policy explains how.
