We rank agencies on proof we can check. This page explains the criteria, the evidence we use and the rules that keep our rankings independent.
The short version
- We score agencies on proof of results, specialism, pricing transparency and fit for a type of company.
- We only use evidence we can check, and we link to it.
- Every pick has a “best for” and a “skip if”.
- Sponsorship never changes rank order, a score or a verdict.
Scoring criteria
- Proof of results. Public case studies with named clients or verifiable outcomes, and independent client reviews.
- Specialism. Depth in the service and the audience the list covers, for example SEO for B2B SaaS.
- Pricing transparency. Whether the agency publishes pricing, minimums or fee models. We say “not public” when it does not.
- Fit by company type. How well the agency matches the budget, size and sales model of the buyer the list is for.
- Program status where it matters. Official tiers such as HubSpot Solutions Partner or Google Partner, checked in the program directory.
Each list states the criteria it weighted most, because a list for startups and a list for enterprise buyers should not reward the same things.
Evidence we use
- The agency website, case studies and published pricing pages.
- Independent review platforms and client testimonials we can trace.
- Official partner and certification directories.
- Public portfolios, awards and media coverage.
- Facts an agency sends us, after we confirm them against a public source.
We do not invent numbers. If a price or a result has no source, it does not appear on ClanPick.
Update schedule
We review every best list at least every six months, and sooner when an agency changes pricing, services or ownership. Each page shows the date it was last updated and the date we last checked pricing.
Editorial independence
ClanPick may sell sponsored placements. Sponsored agencies appear only in a block labeled “Sponsored” after the ranked list. Sponsors pay for placement there. It never changes our rankings. Agencies cannot pay to join a ranked list, to move up, or to edit what we write.
